The Mandalorian Star Wars Disney+

Disney+ is set to launch on 12 November 2019 and one of the fresh, new shows that will be available for streaming is the Star Wars' series The Mandalorian, among nine other shows. The Mandalorian is a live-action series produced and written by Iron Man's Jon Favreau, and according to Favreau, it will explore the darker side of Star Wars.

Disney boss Bob Iger - who's probably just as excited as we are about the release, reportedly said, "nothing like it on the air. If you’re going to do a live-action Star Wars series, this is the way to do it,” after reviewing the first episode of The Mandalorian. We trust Iger's taste in entertainment, and Favreau's production, so we're expecting a really good Star Wars series.

The Mandalorian

The Mandalorian takes place after the fall of the Empire and before the rise of the First Order, somewhere between the events in Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. The story follows eight episodes of a solo warrior that looks like Boba Fett, played by Game of Thrones' Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell), alongside Gina Carano, Nick Nolte, Giancarlo Esposito, Ming-Na Wen, Carl Weathers, Emily Swallow, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog, Taika Waititi, Bill Burr, and Mark Boone Jr..

Contrary to other streaming services, Disney+ will be releasing episodes on a weekly basis. So there will be no binge-watching for now, just good old suspense and week-long wait. Here's the official trailer of The Mandalorian:
