What's Happening with Marvel Phase 4, and Which Superheroes are Expected to Make and Appearance (Pt 1)
Marvel Phase 4 has unfortunately been delayed further because of the current pandemic that Earth is facing, and it looks like no superhero is going to be able to defeat the Covid-19 coronavirus. Black Widow was supposed to officially open for Phase 4, but the delay of Black Widow also means the delay of all other TV series and movies. So, all we have to do is stay indoors, and enjoy more Marvel on Hulu, Netflix, AmazonPrime, and Disney+. While we enjoy the shows that are available for streaming, let's also take a look at what Marvel's Phase 4 has to offer, and which superheroes (or anti-heroes) are expected to make an appearance in order of release.

Yelena Belova is Black Widow's "sister" who will be making an appearance as an anti-hero in the upcoming Black Widow movie. Since the movie is a prequel, and that Natasha Romanoff remains unfortunately deceased in present time of the MCU, it is expected that Yelena will bear the mantle and join the Avengers as the new Black Widow. Yay or nah?
Black Knight and Sersei
Following Black Widow will be the release of Marvel's Eternals, and although the initial release date was supposed to be set at November 6 2020, we can expect a slight delay considering the circumstances now. Let's talk about two of the Eternals - Dane Whitman and Sersi.
- Dane Whitman (Black Knight)
Kit Harrington is confirmed to assume the role of the Black Knight, and he will be wielding his Ebony Blade. No information has been revealed about whether or not there will be a build up on the character, but we predict that the Eternals will feature at least eleven Eternals, revolving around the story of Dane Whitman.
We know from the comics that Dane Whitman and Sersi become more than just friends, and if the Black Knight is going to be en route to join the Avengers, we hope to see Sersei with him. With her set of powers and her kind compassion towards humanity, she'd be a great fit with the Avengers. The role of Sersei will be played by Crazy Rich Asians' Gemma Chan.
According to the comics, we know that John Walker takes on the role of Captain America for a while before deciding that he needed to move on to a more aggressive role - the fan-favorite U.S Agent. Still a hero nonetheless, U.S Agent is known to have more questionable methods when doing what heroes do. It is expected of Sam Wilson (Falcon) to refuse the mantle of Captain America in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier TV series, passing on the Captain's role to John Walker, potrayed by Wyatt Russell.
The Hawkeye TV Series on Disney+ is set to release in the fall of 2021, and the show will introduce Hawkeye's protégé Kate Bishop, whom fans know as a prominent member of the Young Avengers. For now, we have no clue about the direction of the show, but we expect Kate Bishop to either play her part as Hawkeye's sidekick, or as a replacement to the former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, before joining a possible Young Avengers or New Avengers team. Hailee Steinfeld is rumored to take on the part.
Stay tuned for part 2.
